Dr. Willis is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), as well as the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the International College of Dentists (ICD), and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists  (ICOI).

Dr. Willis serves as the President of the NVDS and is on the Board of Directors for the VDA.  He also served for several years as Chairman of the NVDS Community Outreach/Mission of Mercy (MOM) Committee which is focused on creative initiatives to provide dental care to our neighbors who are in need of added support.  Dr. Willis also enjoyed serving as Co-Director of the VDA sponsorship of the Virginia High School Science Fair.

Dr. Willis has been selected for fellowship in the Virginia Dental Association Fellows. VDA Fellow is a class of membership that is reserved as an honor for those who by special devotion to the Virginia Dental Association, their component, community and to the profession of dentistry, have given freely of their time and energies to the end that the welfare of all has been promoted.

Dr. Willis was born and raised in Maryland. Prior to earning his dental degree from Loma Linda University in California, Dr. Willis had a career as an electrical engineer, having earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. He has spent time in over 35 countries, and has volunteered his dental services in countries including Chad, Sri Lanka, China, and Colombia.

Dr. Willis lives in Burke and enjoys sports, live music, and community outreach.
