Dr. Farzin Ghanavati is an American Board Certified Dentist and Implantologist in Burke, VA. He has served Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implantology, and Invisalign in his own dental office, Burke Dental, and Northern Virginia since 2017 and is excited to provide comprehensive general dental care to his existing and new patients and also provide periodontal therapy where needed.
Dr. Ghanavati is competent in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, Invisalign, Dental Implantology, Periodontology, Oral Surgery, Pediatric, Prosthetic Dentistry, and Geriatric Dentistry.
His oral surgery and periodontology skills include the surgical placement of dental implants, periodontal surgery, hard and soft tissue grafting (bone and gum grafting), the removal of impacted third molars, socket preservation, sinus lifting, and ridge augmentation.
Dr. Ghanavati is an active member of the American Dental Association(ADA), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).
Also, Dr. Ghanavati is certified as a Holistic Dentist by The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
Dr. Farzin Ghanavati started his journey in Dentistry in 1993 and has his D.D.S and Master’s Degree in Periodontology and Implantology.

Before earning his residency degree from the University of Rochester in New York in 2017, Dr. Ghanavati had a career as a Dentist and Periodontist in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2011 and also served as an associate professor and clinical researcher in his academic career for several years. He is the author of many research publications and papers in PubMed, as well as National and International Dental Journals.
In 2013 Dr. Ghanavati earned his dental degree in “Laser in Dentistry” from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen University (RWTH Aachen University) which is a research university located in Aachen, Germany.
Dr. Ghanavati is one of the first dentists in the United States and the world to undergo training and become certified to offer the Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation treatment to his patients, which is a scalpel-free, suture-free procedure with very fast recovery for correcting gum recession.
Besides dentistry, Dr. Ghanavati spends his time with family and friends and enjoys oil and acrylic painting, photography, sports, motorcycling, surfing, live music, and outdoor adventure!
